with rich golden mohair, black glass eyes, pronounced snout, black stitched nose, mouth and claws, swivel head, elongated jointed shaped limbs, brown felt pads, growler, hump and button in ear with hint of white label --18in. (46cm.) tall, circa 1908

Steiff received requests from English Buyers for bears with glass eyes, and as early as 1908 Steiff bears were available for special order and additional cost. This Steiff bear is a fine example of a special order made in circa 1908.
