A mid 18th century combination gun-tool
with wire helix, plier, saw and detachable gun worm, marked on the dutter "Gibson", the gun worm probably replaced, the wire helix with old file marks, possibly repaired.
Footnote:
it has been suggested the Mary Gibson, an 18th century dealer in watch makers tools and materials was based at the Dial & Crown, Newgate street, may be connected with this tool.
