Lot Essay

There is another thermometer fan in the museum at Bordeaux. Two others have been sold at Christie's South Kensington in the last thirty-five years, one in 1979 inscribed Duflos fecit, London 1778. The other in December 1986 from the collection of Brigadier Llewellyn Palmer
