Two Chinese painted pottery models of equstrian riders
the saddled horses standing four square and facing forwards with mouths open and nostrils flaring, the riders wearing tunics and hats with their arms held out before them, traces of red, white and black pigments remaining -- 11in. (29.2cm.) and 12in. (32.4cm.) high, Han Dynasty, (some restoration and old wear).
