The waisted case elaborately cast with rocaille, with figure of Neptune to the top and a triton riding a seahorse below, the base with lattice work sides and modelled as a grotto, the backplate painted with a scene of a ship beside a light house, the engine-turned and silvered Roman dial with steel moon hands, the twin barrel movement with silk suspension and countwheel strike on bell
