The case with urn surmount and inverted breakfront base inset with foliate mounts, porcelain panels to the sides decorated with flowers and musical trophies against a royal blue ground, a further panel below the dial showing a courting couple in 18th century costume, the dial with Roman chapters on a royal blue ring and centre painted with cherubs, gilt spade hands, the twin barrel movement with strike on bell; one rear foot lacking
