The case with brass pineapple finial to the fluted top, handles to the sides above fret panels, the front door with satinwood banding and bats' wing paterae to the corners, with conch shell marquetry on a harewood reserve to the centre, on gilt-brass ball feet, the silvered dial engraved with swag spandrels, Roman chapter ring, signed to the centre G. Jones & Sons 368 Holloway Rd. N, the single chain fusee movement with anchor escapement and pendulum holdfast to the backplate
