The case with brass ball finial to the waisted pediment, brass handles to the sides above sound frets, stop-fluted pilasters to the front angles, the front inlaid with a butterfly, on ball feet, the silvered Roman dial with regulation at XII and signed W.m Lister & Sons Newcastle-on-Tyne, blued steel moon hands, the twin chain fusee movement with strike on gong and pendulum holdfast to the spot-finished backplate
