With convex moulded frame pegged to a rectangular salt box with door to underside, separate white painted wood dial (crack across centre), with Roman chapters, minute track and outside Arabic five minutes, signed LEROUX CHAING CROSS (dial re-touched), gilt hands, with later associated movement secured to the dial with a falseplate, single gut fusee with verge escapement; composite, parts late 18th century
