The hood with blind fret carving below the swan neck pediment, fretted side panels, outset brass capped fluted columns to the front angles, with wavy arch top trunk door flanked by fluted pilasters, the plinth raised on bracket feet, the brass dial with mask and foliate spandrels (one lacking, corner dented) to the silvered chapter ring with foliate engraved silvered centre, with subsidiary seconds and date rings, the arch applied with a florally engraved silvered plaque, with replaced seatboard to the four pillar movement with anchor escapement and strike on gong to the backboard
