A George III green japanned longcase clock, third quarter 18th century
The case gilt decorated against a sea green ground, the breakarch hood with ball and spire finials and glazed side panels, the breakarch trunk door decorated with chinoiserie pagodas, on stepped plinth, the brass dial with bird and urn spandrels to the silvered chapter ring, matted centre with subsidiary silvered seconds ring and date aperture, applied with a silvered plaque inscribed John Pridham LONDON No.115, a silvered strike/silent ring to the arch with foliate engraved centre, with built up seatboard to the five pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement; movement and dial probably associated to case
