containing twenty eight leaves depicting ladies and dignitaries seated at leisure in interiors of pavilions, in conversation, eating, watching dancers and listening to readings, further figures on foot and horseback in landscapes and warriors in encampments and on horseback crossing rivers and in battle, all within borders of stylised, gilt-speckled clouds -- each leaf 9in. x 6in. (23cms x 16.5cms), 18th century, (Slight wear, covers with soiling spots and old wear).
