with a rising fret-carved stationery compartment above a sloping hinged fall enclosing a fitted interior of two drawers and a brown leather gilt tooled hinged, ratcheted and sliding writing surface, supported by scrolling corbels, with four drawers to one side and opposing dummy drawers with pierced scroll brackets on a moulded plinth base with bun feet and castors, the locks stamped Hobbs, London -- 22in.
