An informal robe of purple silk damask,
embroidered with eight roundels with birds and animals in landscapes, with white embroidered satin trimming and shaped collar and pale blue sleevebands; and an apron skirt of pleated red satin damask with two phoenix appliqu over a sea-wave in gilt threads, with electric blue borders, Straits Chinese, both late 19th/early 20th century
