An Indo-Portugese ivory inlaid wood rectangular box
on four ball feet, decorated to the top with equestrian figures and attendants in European costumes, two on foot holding spears and shields above a running hare, below birds among flowering trees, within a border of stylised double-drago ovals interspersed with bird roundels, the sides decorated with further hunters with guns and tigers attacking stags, fitted with a sliding drawer, key -- 13.in (34.3cm) ling, 17th/18th Century, (small crack and small chip).
