A Chinese export lacquer rectangular tea caddy
painted and gilt with a central monogram surrounded by figures in gardens among trees and pagodas within a border of confronting coiled dragons chasing flaming pearls, the sides with similar cartouches of figures in gardens, the interior fitted with two pewter boxes and covers -- 7.in (19.1cm) wide, early 19th century, (slight rubbing).
