An Imperial Satsuma lobed vase
with flaring neck and foot, painted and gilt with panels of birds above foaming waves, flowering gardens and rushes beside a meandering stream beneath a band of lappets reserved with flowerheads -- 5in. (14.5cms) high, signed; and an Imperial Satsuma ovoid vase decorated with panels of vases of flowers, kiku heads and prunus beneath a band of further flowerheads and scrolling foliage to the shoulder -- 5in. (12.7cms) high, signed.
