A 19th-Century brass meridian dial,
signed FRANQUE RHONE A. BEAUJEU, with calendar dial stamped with dates and inscribed lines to read against the pin-hole sight on the rotating inner circle, the outer circle with hour scale inscribed 8-12-4, the scale sub-divided with five-minute divisions, mounted on a latitude arc with punched scale 0-90, hinged beneath the horizontal circle and raised on a tapering pillar support -- 15in. (38.7cm.) high
