the lid with maker's plaque engraved Blakes, 47 Piccadilly, Corner of Albany, and rising to reveal purple plush-lined compartments for fourteen bottles of three sizes, the drawer below similarly plush lined, with two sliding covers and other compartments for bottles and accessories, with inset brass carrying handles, one side inscribed in gilt J. Brown Esq., London -- 10in. (26.7cm.) high
