built by E. Lofthouse, with water jacketed cylinder 1.3/8in. bore x 2in. stroke, cylinder oiler, main bearings in curved trunnions with oil cups, gear eccentric and quadrant operated inlet and exhaust valves, the inlet with 'hit and miss' governor, make and break, main stop valve, coil, spark plug and 'on-off' switch, finished in green and polished brightwork, the bed embossed Gardner -- 9 x 15in. (24.2 x 39.4cm.)
