NORTH EAST PERSIA, 10TH CENTURY
Of slightly inverted conical form, the bowl covered with a cream coloured slip, painted to the interior with two bands of kufic one in tan slip, the other in dark brown within a tan border, separated by a tan and dark brown palmette, small brown roundels between each, another similar in centre of bowl, exterior plain, repaired breaks, areas of restoration
7 7/8in. (19.5cm.) diam.
