A 6-inch (15.2cm.) diameter terrestrial globe made up of twelve coloured printed gores and two polar calottes, the equator and prime meridian graduated in degrees, the ecliptic graduated in days but unlabelled, the oceans showing ocean currents and steamship routes, the continents with nation states variously and delicately coloured (rubbing and surface abrasions, oldscratches and repaired cracks), raised on a bluster turned fruitwood column and plinth base -- 12in. (31.7cm.) high
