MALBY'S Terrestrial Globe Compiled from the GLOBE of the SOCIETY FOR THE DIFFUS. OF USEFUL KNOWLEDGE Houghton St. London. March 1st. 1844
A 3-inch (8.3cm.) diameter miniature terrestrial globe made up of twelve ahand-coloured engraved gores, the equator graduated in degrees and hours, the ecliptic graduated in days and showing symbols for the houses of the Zodiac, the Antarctic with details such as Ld seen in 1833 and MAGNETIC POLE hereabouts, the continents outlined in blue with numerous physical and geographical details (areas of old abrasions, details loss and repairs, new varnish) two steel axis pins, in a turned fruitwood case (later) with domed lid -- 4in. (10.2cm.) high
