An early 20th-Century German [?]planisphere
unsigned, the 3-inch (7.6cm.) diameter wooden earth ball showing the tropics, Arctic and Antarctic circles, equator and prime meridian and stamped 26, held at the centre of a movable 12-inch (30.5cm.) diameter papered metal disc labelled with points of the compass and graduated around the edge in degrees divided in four quadrants of 90, with fixed meridian half circle graduated 0-90-0 aligning with a pointer attached at the North Pole of the globe, a movable hour band attached to the disc graduated 0-12 twice anti-clockwise, the whole raised on an iron rod to turned fruitwood stand and circular plinth base with spirit level and inset compass -- 22in. (55.9cm.) high
