A rare 6-inch (15.2cm.) diameter moon globe made up of twleve lithographed gores and two polar calottes, the equator graduated in degrees 0-90 twice around half the sphere, with numerous craters shown in grey and numbered, seas shown by dotted stippling, the @dark@ side of the moon with no geographical features shown, instead a table of the 343 numbered craters with names, and a table of Principaux Elments comprising details about the size and orbit of the moon (surface abrasions, rubbing and discolouration, some paper loss, some denting), raised on a turned ebonised column and plinth base -- 11in. (29.9cm.) high
