A modern brass armillary sphere
the 3-inch (8.9cm.) diameter terrestrial globe at the centre made up of twelve colour reproduction paper gores (poorlyaligned, printing blurred) after Vincenzo Coronelli (1650-1718) circa 1693, the moving Zodiac stamped with pictures and names, the meridian circle stamped with degrees and divided in four quadrants, the horizon ring similarly marked and supported by four quadrant supports atop a bronz figure of Atlas on circular brass base stamped with pictures for the houses of the Zodiac, with three bun feet -- 20in. (50.8cm.) high
