A 13-inch (33cm.) diameter terrestrial table globe made up of twelve coloured printed paper gores, the equatorial and prime meridian graduated in degrees, the ecliptic in days of the month and of the houses of the Zodiac, with symbols, the oceans showing steamship routes with ports of departure and arrival, some with journey time in days, other lines in north Atlantic (possibly Zeppelin routes) labelled with dates such as 15.Aug.-14.Jan., the International Date Line and warm and cold ocean currents, the continents with nation states variously outlined in green, yellow, pink and blue, showing railway lines, projected railway lines, caravan routes and other political and physical geographical information, the Antarctic with partial coastline and labelled Magnet Sdpol and Scott 1902, Shackleton 9.1.1909 Amundsen a.Sdpol 14.12.1911 (some surface abrasions), with engraved brass meridian half circle raised on a turned fruitwood stand and plinth base with three bun feet -- 23in. (60.4cm.) high

The geography of Europe dates this globe as post World War I, but Leningrad is labelled St Petersburg, thus placing the date of manufacture as prior to 1924.
