A 5-inch (12.7cm.) diameter terrestrial table globe made up of twelve chromolithographed gores and two polar calottes (poorly aligned in places), the equator graduated in degrees, the ecliptic graduated in days, the nation states delicately coloured in varying shades of green and yellow and showing towns, cities and rivers, China with the Great Wall shown, Somalia labelled SOMALIE ITAL. (surface discolouration adn abrasions) with steel finial, mounted on simple wire support to turned ebonized column and base -- 11in. (27.9cm.) high

The labelling of Africa indicates a date of manufacture for this globe around the beginning of the 1930's, to coincide with Italian expansion in that area, yet prior to their annexation of Ethiopia in 1935.
