NORTHERN INDIA OR KASHMIR, DATED APRIL 1881 AD
On tall trumpet foot the flattened spherical body rising to slightly flaring neck, with twin loop handles in the form of serpents, flattened domed cover with acorn finial, all surfaces engraved with cartouches filled with a variety of animals and birds on a ground of vine, a plain inscription cartouche at the front inscribed 8th Hussars Subalterns' Cup, with name of winning horse and jockey and date April 1881
