A pair of Chinese buff pottery models of horses with accompanying painted pottery grooms
the horses standing four square, facing forwards with ears pricked and nostrils flaring, the grooms standing wearing tunics and head bands and with one arm outstretched before them, traces of red, white and black pigments remaining -- the horses 11in. (29.2cm.) and 10in. (27.3cm.) high, the grooms 9in. (23.5cm.) and 10in. (25.4cm.) high, perspex stands, Han Dynasty, (some restoration and old wear).
