A pair of Chinese painted pottery models of equestrian riders
the horses standing four square on rectangular bases, facing forwards with their heads lowered, the male rider wearing a tunic and hat and with his hands held before him, the female wearing long flowing robes and with her hair pulled up into a high chignon, green, red, white and black pigments remaining -- 13in. (33.7cm.) and 15in. (38cm.) high, Tang Dynasty, (some resoration and old wear).
