A pair of Chinese blue and white baluster jars and domed covers
moulded in shallow relief and painted with swirling panels of scrolling lotus flowers and peonies below bands of further lotus flowers to the necks, all within borders of hatch-pattern and chevron motifs -- 23in. (58.5cm.) high, Kangxi, (one cover with some restoration to the rim, one jar with section broken and restuck, the other with star crack to the body and restoration to the neck).
