A late 18th century Dutch engraved tobacco box
of rounded oblong form, the sides with a frieze of foliate strapwork and the cover and base with figure scenes, perhaps the arrival of Sheba at the court of King Solomon and the stoning of Stephen, makers mark particularly worn, probably by Hendrick Bleur, Amsterdam 1779 - 15cm long, 6oz.
