on a reeded circular pedestal foot, engraved with a frieze of Greek Key and anthemion motifs and a presentation inscription within a trophy of arms, "Presented by the Noncom'd Officers, Drum & Privates of the Dornoch Comp'y 1st Bn SUTHERLAND VOLUNTEERS To Capt'n Wm. McCulloch in testimony of their esteem for & attachment to him 1806", also engraved with crest motto "Vi et Amino" and initials "WMC"
