A Vienna style dark-blue-ground oviform section of a vase
painted by H. Stadler with a panel titled Der Sommer with a semi-naked maiden playing with butterflies, reclining on a bad among scantily drapes attendants, the reverse with a scene titled Catterrino Cornado in Venedig, with Katherine in a throne with attendants before classical buildings, within shaped rectangular panels with raised gilt and burnished ornament, between two roundels painted with artists, the ground with raised gilt scrolling foliage between gilt key pattern bands and scrolling leaves, late 19th century (the foot and neck deficient, slight wear) -- 64cm. high
