A Naples style oval box and cover
moulded with a panel of a classical figure and dancers within a roundel among scrolls below an egg and dart band, the base moulded with a frieze of classical figures, supported by four scroll feet issuing acanthus leaves, enriched in a bright palette and gilt, the interior painted with scattered sprigs of flowers, with a gilt-metal hinged mount, blue crowned N mark, late 19th century (some minor rubbing to gilding) -- 21.5cm. wide
