A Meissen group of the 'Capture of the Tritons'
modelled as two nymphs and a putto in loose drapes, hauling a net filled with fish and a struggling triton from waves among foliage on a rockwork base applied with shells, a lobster and a frog, blue crossed swords mark, incised C.35, Pressnummer 137, circa 1880 (some minor damages) -- 30cm. high
