An Elizabeth I silver-gilt mounted tigerware flagon
The top mount by Nicholas Sutton, 1571
With a baluster body and a c-scroll handle, the top mount engraved with men on horseback and dogs hunting deer in a forest, the cover with a knop finial embossed with fruit and cartouches centred by grotesque masks, the foot-mount slightly later in date, decorated with a chased interlaced ribbon and embossed single fruits
