Tipped-in to the front of the book is an autograph letter from Albert Hartshorne to an un-named recipient, dated 1910, relating to the identification of a caricature, and a second letter from Albert Hartshorne, also to an un-named recipient, dated 1907 ("I daresay we shall have the miniature sent to Christie's"), is loosely-inserted.
