A Victorian tortoiseshell and ivory-strung work box, mid 19th century,
the shallow-domed cover with inset silver plate to the centre and concave band, canted angles, with lion's mask and ring handles and set on four brass claw-and-ball feet, the divided interior with two further tortoiseshell covers, various sewing implements inside including two mother-of-pearl items -- 10 x 8 x 4.7/8in. (25.4 x 20.3 x 12.5cm.)
