A sampler by Christian Gilmor worked in coloured silks with bands of stylised spot motifs including birds, rabbits and dogs, a pavilion in the centre, a house below, within a stylised floral border--14 x 18in. (36 x 46cm.), circa 1830; and another by Mary Brown 1837, worked in silks in shades of brown and green with the central verse "Can storied urn...", bordered to either side with mainly floral spot motifs, with goats at the bottom flanking stylised floral sprigs, within a stylised border--17 x 21in. (44 x 54cm.), slight damage, both framed and glazed
