A sampler by Ann Scantlebury ..at Duloe, 1812, finely worked in coloured silks mainly in shades of pink, blue and green, with the central verse "By Christ's example...", bordered with various spot motifs including a parrot and flower filled vases, alphabets and numerals above, within a stylised floral and star border--15in. (40cm.) square, some holing; another by Jessy Henderson, Banf, worked with alphabets and spot motifs--18 x 19in. (47 x 49cm.), second half of 19th century; another woolwork sampler worked with a house--18 x 19in.
