The Deccalian range of gramophones of the early 1920s used the bowl-in-lid ('Dulciflex') acoustic system of the highly successful Decca portable, installed in good quality cabinets in a choice of period designs. The intended market was presumably the large household where a second gramophone was wanted for occasional use and appearance was more important than quality of sound.
