The large horn, extensively decorated with deeply carved and finely incised scenes of the Revolutionary War, bears images of New York, Albany, Ticonderoga and Ft. Washington and dates of 1774 and 1776. Adnorned with images of "Jersey Prison Ship H.B.M.," Maj. Andre the Spy on horse back, "Arnold the Traitor," together with portraits of Col. A. Allen and Gen. Washington. An extensive armourial panel entitled In Memory of Three Thousand Brave American Prisoners of War who were deprived an existence above This Horn was used at Fort Washington during the Revolution/The Downfall to British Tyrany and Oppression/Liberty. With ring hanger, lacking base plug, tip with small chips and losses.
