AN ELABORATE MAIN GAUCHE
Probably Spanish, circa 1700
The finely blade with 9 inch edge along back edge having also a finely formed spine, robust forte with two pierced circular holes and punched decorations forming a cross. The very finely pierced guard with scrolling floral motifs abound with mythical and stylised fauna throughout. Wide cross guard with turned finials, twisted brass wire bound grip.
