[MUNFORD, THOMAS TAYLOR, Brig. General, C.S.A.] COOK, GEORGE S. Albumen bust portrait of Munford in uniform, [ca. 1865], 4 x 3 in., on contemporary mount, identified in ink below the print. Munford had one of the longest service records of any Confederate general, fighting in most battles in the Eastern theater from Bull Run to Appomattox; he served under Jackson and later, with Early in the Valley, was twice wounded at Second Bull Run and finished the war in command of Fitz-Hugh Lee's division.
