A one-page typewritten letter dated June 29, 1966 to the British Boxing Board of Control requesting that the champion be allowed to use the name of Muhammad Ali. After the press and boxing organizations resisted calling Ali by his new name, he formally appealed to the British Authorities. The letter is boldly signed in ink Muhammad Ali. Two punch holes at the top do not affect the letterhead or content. Together with a broadside from the fight. Excellent condition.
