MUHAMMAD ALI FIGHT WORN TRUNKS VS. KEN NORTON
An important pair of white satin, black trimmed trunks worn by Ali in his March 31, 1973 fight against Ken Norton in San Diego. When Muhammad Ali entered the ring to fight little known Norton, it was expected this would be another routine Ali fight and victory. Few imagined that this would become one of Ali's toughest and eventually most famous bouts: Norton surprised almost everyone (including Ali) by dominating the fight, winning a twelve-round decision and breaking Ali's jaw in the process. The trunks feature an Everlast tag on the waistband with the logo Made Expressly For Muhammad Ali. The trunks are signed Muhammad Ali 6/20/87 on the right leg in black. The trunks exhibit wear and usage with some fading to the black trim and some staining. Together with a wirephoto from the fight. Letter of authenticity.
