MUHAMMAD ALI VS. SUPERMAN INSCRIBED COMIC BOOK
An oversized color illustrated comic book which depicts a fictional bout between Muhammad Ali and comic hero Superman. Muhammad Ali has personally written and drawn a number of quotations in the book which includes a two-page spread showing the two shaking hands. Next to Superman, Ali wrote, We all are our freedom and our oppressor. There is power in the Word so Think Big and drew a heart and flower. Across his own body he has written, Be Strong, inside a circle around their hands shaking, and drawn a crown on top of the circle, a reference to Ali and Superman as champions of the world. Between them he wrote, Be Good. Next to himself he wrote a poem, 1+1=2 yellow - green is blue, yellow + blue is green, black & white is gray, the ground is brown get up clown I'm gonna crown you Revelation Revolution Change W Control is Good. Next to his arm he wrote, Together Brother! Arnold Swartzeneger [sic], a reference to what perhaps he and Superman combined would be. On top, Ali has drawn a scene of the sun, ocean and mountains. All written in hand in ink by Muhammad Ali, including Ali's signature. Unique copy in excellent conditon with some very slight staining.
