A CORE-FORMED GLASS ALABASTRON
eastern mediterranean, possibly from rhodes
circa late 6th-5th century b.c.
Dark amber in color, the cylindrical body with rounded bottom and rounded shoulders, a short cylindrical neck and horizontal rim-disk, with three evenly spaced opaque white marvered threads wound spirally on the body, with an opaque white thread on the rim and twin dark blue ring handles with knobbed tail
